Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of this website. By using it, you accept them. They do not cover any work we do for you; that is governed by a separate written agreement.

Who we are

This website is run by Synaform Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16674430. Our registered office is 322 Finchampstead Road, Finchampstead, Wokingham, England, RG40 3JB. You can contact us at hello@synaform.co.uk or on +44 333 0523759.

Using the site

You may view, download and print pages for your own use, including use within your organisation. Please do not:

  • use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms the site, its users or us
  • try to get unauthorised access to the site or the systems that run it
  • copy large parts of the site, or scrape it with automated tools, without our permission.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

Our content and intellectual property

Unless we say otherwise, the content on this site (text, graphics, logos, images, videos, tools and software) belongs to Synaform Limited or is used with permission. Synaform, Project:OS and our logos are our names and brands. You may quote short extracts with a credit to Synaform and a link to the page. Anything more needs our written permission.

Our insights are not advice

Our insights, worked examples, tools and other content are general information to help you think about a problem. They are not professional advice for your situation, and you should not rely on them as such. Get advice specific to your circumstances before acting, or not acting, on anything you read here. We work hard to keep content accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is complete, correct or current. Examples and figures describe the situations they come from and may not apply to yours.

Links to other sites

Where we link to other websites, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they use your information.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.

Subject to that:

  • If you use the site for business, we are not liable to you for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content, including loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, data or goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise.
  • If you are a consumer, we only provide the site for private use. We are not liable for loss of profit, business or business opportunity, and we are only responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.

We do not promise that the site will always be available or free from errors or viruses. Please use your own virus protection.

Your information

How we use personal information is explained in our privacy notice. How this site uses cookies is explained in our cookie notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you use the site is the one that applies.

Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
